POINT LOMA — The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority will host a public workshop Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Marriott Hotel Courtyard, 2592 Laning Road, at Liberty Station from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Airport Authority will be introducing public updates to its airport land-use compatibility plan, which outlines the types of development and activities allowed in future projects near the airport and which have a bearing on the surrounding community, said airport spokesperson Steve Schultz. The open workshop is designed to “let the public know that this is their opportunity to provide input to the [A]irport” Authority, Schultz said. The Liberty Station workshop addresses specifically plans, projects and activities impacting the San Diego International Airport at Lindbergh Field. The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority serves as the airport’s land use and planning commission, which decides on plans affecting Peninsula residents like jet noise and vehicular traffic, while maintaining the airport’s ability to function.
