A 23-year-old female pedestrian was on the north sidewalk of 1400 Garnet Avenue at 11 p.m. on July 13. A 30-year-old male was driving his 2009 Landrover eastbound at 1400 Garnet Avenue. The pedestrian stepped off the sidewalk to walk southbound across 1400 Garnet Avenue. The driver was unable to avoid the pedestrian and hit her. The pedestrian sustained a fractured femur and was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. There was no DUI. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
