For The Wine Pub in Point Loma, VIP stands for Very Important Pooches, and the dog-friendly restaurant is throwing a four-legged extravaganza to celebrate its most loyal customers. 
A parade of pups dressed in pup-xedos and gowns will head to The Wine Pub’s patio for red carpet photos, bottle service and doggie entrees from their own chef-prepared gourmet menu 5 to 7 p.m. on Aug. 14. 
Proceeds benefit Oceanside-based service dog organization, Canine Companions for Independence.

VIPs brings pups and humans together for an event that gives back to a very worthy cause – enhancing the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to connect people with four-legged companions, free of charge.
