For those individuals with a love of gardening, plan on being at San Carlos Community Garden on Saturday, April 15, for Upcycled Garden Art.
Slated from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the creative workshop will be led by Paige Kries, founder of Plant It Again, a non-profit organization that creates careers for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, among many other things.
In this fun make-and-take workshop, Kries will show participants how to upcycle everyday things into wonderful garden art.
Participants are encouraged to bring a tea-cup (or choose from selection provided).
Succulent cuttings and soil will be provided for participants to Plant it Again (just in time to create a memorable Mother’s Day gift).
Advanced registration is required. The event is free for garden members and $10 for non-garden members.
