Chamber plans next mixer
The Golden Triangle Chamber has been busy. Members held their monthly Business After Five on Sept. 12 at the Rock Bottom Brewery. The mixers are open to the public ” nonmembers welcome!
On Sept. 17, the Chamber attended the open house for new member Goodwill Industries of San Diego at its new location, 4023 Governor Drive. The Goodwill bookstore and secure document destruction service center are a first for Goodwill in San Diego.
On Sept. 26, the Chamber held a ribbon-cutting at the open house of new member Comerica Bank in Pacific Beach. Ribbon-cuttings are a member benefit to gain more exposure for your business.

Wachovia bank robbed
The Wachovia Bank at 8410 Genesee Ave. was robbed of an undetermined amount of cash Oct. 2 at 5:03 p.m.
After demanding cash from two tellers, the suspect reportedly jumped up on the counter overlooking them. He placed the cash in a black backpack and escaped on foot.
The suspect is described as a male of unknown race in his mid-20s, between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall, thin to medium build, wearing a black T-shirt, faded blue jeans, white tennis shows, a maroon knit cap and a gauze-type mask.
The SDPD Robbery Unit and the FBI are handling the case.
