Nothing stops great art from bringing joy. One fine exemplar is Cedros Avenue’s Madison Gallery’s featured Australian artist Elliott Routledge. Routledge had these remarks at the reception of his work: “I’m so happy to be here in California showing these new works, which will hopefully inspire happiness and joy, and ultimately give people a certain sense of euphoria by exploring an art show in person, at Madison Gallery!”
Euphoria it was as Routledge’s whimsical murals in vibrant happy tones brought smiles to all… and if you looked closely, parts of smiley faces were to be found in each work. P.S. Funskull is his nickname!
Meanwhile at the Farmer’s Insurance Open, Luke List was definitely top of the “list” winning at 15 under par. More winners there or supporting from afar were sponsor Century Club members including Stefan McKellar of NanoCraft Sciences, Luke Pistorius of Qualcomm, Roy Bell, Rolf Benirschke of Legacy Health Strategies, Padre’s legend Trevor Hoffman, Jim Laslavic, Vince Bartolotta Jr., and Mike Metz, president of the CC board.
The Century Club is not only a sponsor but has been integral in supporting local youth and golf programs as well as the military.
