Applause to the strength of 10. Beyond just Bo Derek beauties, local biz empire beauty, think Evvro International and Pure Financial, Evva Fenison plus another super 10 wattage woman, Elena Cardone of the 10X Empire. Billions are being built on smarts and kindness. Fenison caught up with longtime friend Cardone at the Miami 10X Ladies event and managed to squeeze in a little Art Basel and Mar a Lago. No stopping our Evva!
And the power of kind endures in San Diego thanks in large part to the Dave Copley Foundation, which again was a lead sponsor for the Charity Ball. This 113-year strong gala raised funds this year for Rady Children’s Hospital. Who can forget the many magical moments, like when Copley underwrote international star Bobby Short to perform for the ball. Lucky me to be Dave’s guest!
Meanwhile, women in the military were among those heralded at ClubCorp’s Morgan’s Run for the International Women’s Day Luncheon. The guest list included one super volunteer, Commander Matthew Shillingburg. Shillingburg remarked: “These women were honored because of their selfless service and sacrifice to our great nation and the world. They continue to inspire all women.”
As many know, DG Wills Books has had quite the visitor log. In the last year alone Sean Penn and Diane Keaton (an outstanding supporter of the Helen Woodward Animal Center) have both stopped by. Quite a “heady” experience perhaps in a premonition to the upcoming “Hedy” Lamarr book reveal coming on March 31.
From books to booking, need a staycation or place to stash visiting relatives/friends and support animal rescue? Nationally recognized San Antonio Pets Alive is auctioning a two-night oceanfront stay at the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, plus The Social Diary is chipping in a bottle of Tattinger at The Marine Room and a commemorative photo! A “stay and play.” Do it for the pups!
‘Til next time!
