The Princess Project San Diego is holding its ninth annual Princess Project Runway “Everything Old is New Again” fundraising event 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Liberty Station.
Entering its 14th year in California, The Princess Project collects new and nearly new formal dresses and accessories and distributes them free of charge to teens at fun-filled spring events in San Diego, San Francisco, Tracy and Silicon Valley. In 2015, The Princess Project San Diego provided prom dresses to more than 1,200 girls in San Diego, and is on target to serve more than 1,500 girls this year.
The cost is $45 pre-pay, $35 students $50 at the door (includes entrance, food, dessert bar and
fashion show.) Visit princessprojectSD.org for more information. The Princess Project and FIDM San Diego fashion show fundraiser event will showcase the FIDM High School Fashion Clubs. Students will recreate an out of style dress into a current classic. Celebrity judges (JoAnn Jack, from FIDM facility and retail consultant CCJ Solutions; Miss California 2015 Bree Morse; and Vanessa Balli, local fashion blogger) will decide who’s in and who’s out. Guests will enjoy music, food, desserts and bid on silent auction items. All proceeds benefit the Princess Project SD. NBC San Diego weather forecaster Jodi Kodesh will emcee the event. Event sponsors are FIDM San Diego, DJ JoeMama, and SOS Entertainment.
