Summertime is upon us and that means the start of one of La Jolla’s funnest traditions, the Concerts by the Sea series. Running on consecutive Sunday’s from July 19 through Sept. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m., music fans will be treated to a wonderful mix of performers playing everything from blues to world music, all in one of the most beautiful settings on the planet. The series kicks off on July 19 with top notch cover band, The Heroes. The seven piece combo is a local institution, with a set of covers ranging in the hundreds, from the 1930s to today. Some bands claim to offer something for everybody, with The Heroes, it’s a fact, making them the perfect choice to kick off this beloved concert series.
