After 35 years of working as a CPA in international finance, owner and artisan chocolatier, Jennifer Marie, decided to reevaluate her life, and then opened the dessert making business, which she doesn’t regret in the slightest. “I don’t look at this as a job; it’s who I am,” Marie said.
Unlike typical eateries with everyday menus, there are new and unique treats made fresh and by hand every day at The Elegant Truffle. Along with the ever changing menu, it’s even possible that the “truffle flavors can change up to four times a day,” she said. All but three treats were invented by Marie throughout the years. The other three include “heirloom recipes, like the caramel, that have been in my family for 200 years,” she said. If you are a chocolate enthusiast, you have to try the signature “Oh My God” chocolate cake, that luckily, is an everyday item.
As a small business, most of the clients come to know The Elegant Truffle through word-of-mouth. And because of great customer service and delicious sweet treats, they keep coming back. As many chocolate goodies are bought for special occasions, The Elegant Truffle also has a free gift wrapping station.
