A Silicon Valley startup is moving to La Jolla and plans to change the city’s tech industry.
Bizness Apps is a do-it-yourself mobile application maker for small businesses that originated in the dorm rooms of California State University at Chico.
CEO Andrew Gazdecki said he was tired of seeing businesses overpaying for applications and struggling to get them to function effectively.
Following a successful start in San Francisco and being named one of the fastest growing companies in America two years in a row, the company decided to move to San Diego, or as Gazdecki calls it “the tech haven of tomorrow.”
“The mobile industry is booming and San Diego is the new frontier where we will lay the foundation for our future and change the future of small businesses in San Diego.” Gazdecki said.
The purpose of Bizness Apps is to make building a mobile application for any small business as easy as possible.
Bizness Apps enables anyone, regardless of programming skill level, to design, edit and manage their own mobile application or website. For those looking for a bit more help with the process, there is a variety of training and support videos, webinars and articles offered on the Bizness Apps website.
The features provided by Bizness Apps allow any kind of small business to grow and succeed via a mobile application. Functions like food ordering, online shopping, loyalty programs, multimedia, dynamic content and third party integration ensure that any small business’s needs can be met. The company also provides notifications and robust analytics, which allow businesses to engage directly with customers and examine what is working and what isn’t.
According to Gazdecki, the saturation of tech giants in San Francisco hinders the growth of many companies. They end up spending a lot of money to appear competitive with technology giants such as Google, but in the end they see no return. Gazdecki said he has high hopes for success in San Diego.
Mayor Kevin Faulconer agrees with Gazdecki, and hopes this is the next step on San Diego’s path to becoming a major tech city.
