At 12:20 a.m. on Sept. 28, officers responded to 1049 Devonshire Drive for a disturbance. An unidentified caller reported hearing glass breaking as well as a male and female yelling. Responding officers were met by a female occupant of the residence who reported the male occupant of the same residence had a gun, however no gun was seen. As officers were speaking to the female and gathering information, a single gunshot was heard from inside the residence. Shortly thereafter several more gunshots rang out from the residence. At that time the area was secured and the San Diego Police SWAT unit was called to the scene. It was believed that there were possibly two adult males in the residence. The residence was secured and two adult males eventually came out and were subsequently taken into custody without incident. After a subsequent investigation, a 39-year-old male was arrested on weapons and assault charges. The other male was released. Three weapons were recovered from the scene and there were no injuries.
