PACIFIC BEACH — Students across the San Diego Unified School District went back to school today and will have a short week. Children at Pacific Beach Middle School (PBMS) were in session from 7:25 a.m. until 2:10 p.m. Events for the school year are in full swing. Upcoming important dates include: Thursday, Sept. 9, the sixth grade class will have its first assembly. Tuesday, Sept. 28 will be Picture Day at PBMS. Wednesday, Sept. 29, will be a minimum school day running only from 7:25 a.m. until noon. Thursday Sept. 30, 5-6:30 p.m., PBMS will have Back to School Night. — DEBBIE HATCH
