BoatU.S. accepting names for clean boating award
The BoatU.S. Foundation is accepting nominees for its Environmental Leadership Award, which honors those working to advance and educate “clean” boating.
Nominations will be accepted for individuals, groups, organizations, businesses and marinas.
The BoatU.S. Foundation works promote environmental messages directly to boaters.

LJ Youth Softball registration due Jan. 15
Registration forms for La Jolla Youth Softball’s 2007 season must be received by Monday, Jan. 15, and player assessments for girls 10 years old and older are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, at the fields behind Torrey Pines Elementary School, 8350 Cliffridge Ave.
Team announcements will be made Thursday, Feb. 1, and regular season games begin Saturday, Feb. 24. Games are played at the Torrey Pines Elementary fields.
