On Feb. 1, at approximately 8 a.m., the San Diego Police Department’s Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at an illegally operating marijuana dispensary located at 3434 Midway Drive called Sacred Source Sanctuary. This search warrant resulted in the seizure of 7 pounds of high grade marijuana, $1,200 in cash, and a .45 caliber handgun. Five employees were arrested and cited for possession of marijuana for sale and operating a business without a permit. On Feb. 8, at approximately 7 a.m., two search warrants were served at another dispensary (unrelated to Sacred Source) and the dispensary owner’s home. The dispensary was located at 2561 University Ave (Patient First Choice) and the owner’s residence was located in the City of El Cajon off Greenfield Drive. These search warrants resulted in the seizure of 28 pounds of high grade marijuana, over 600 marijuana edibles and concentrates, $1,600 in cash, and two firearms. The owner, Hisham Hanna (55), was arrested and booked into jail for possession of marijuana for sale and operating a business without a permit. The SDPD Narcotics Unit, in partnership with the City Attorney’s Office, continue to investigate all illegal marijuana dispensaries and delivery services, as well as all other illegal marijuana businesses, operating within the City of San Diego. All owners and employees found operating these illegal businesses will be arrested and prosecuted.
