On May 8, at approximately 8 a.m., the San Diego Police Department’s Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at an apartment in the 3800 block of Ingraham Street. This location is located in a residential apartment complex and was being used to operate an illegal marijuana delivery service called “Beach Budz.” The search warrant yielded approximately two pounds of high grade marijuana, concentrated cannabis and edibles, $1,200 in cash, and business documents and records. The owner/operator (Anthony Cruz, 29 years old) was arrested and issued a citation for operating a business without a license and sales of marijuana. SDPD and the City Attorney’s office are continuing to conduct enforcement on all illegal marijuana delivery services, as well as, all other illegal marijuana businesses operating in the City of San Diego. All persons operating these illegal marijuana businesses will be arrested and prosecuted.
