Baker, photographer, and recipe developer Heather Mubarak, of Rancho Santa Fe, will release her debut cookbook “Stuffed: The Sandwich Cookie Book” next year on April 4. Mubarak is the creator of Browned Butter Blondie, a popular baking blog whose Instagram was named by BuzzFeed as one of the “30 Best Instagram Food Accounts You Should Be Following.”
Stuffed is the first cookbook solely dedicated to sandwich cookies and features 65 whimsical recipes for every occasion and craving, including both sweet and savory cookies that range from childhood classics with a twist to sophisticated, elevated treats. The cookies can be baked and enjoyed on their own, or paired in endless combinations with the fillings, ice creams, and frosting recipes featured throughout the book.
Mubarak shares recipes at Browned Butter Blondie on Instagram for delicious and indulgent baked goods. Before starting her blog in 2018, Mubarak was the founder of the award-winning toffee company The Toffee Box, which has been sold in Williams-Sonoma, Sur la Table, Whole Foods, and more.
“Stuffed” is a highly visual cookbook, photographed by Mubarak, that features 65 fun and inventive recipes for sandwich cookies, in addition to a section dedicated to helpful baking tools and pantry-must haves. Recipes include:
