Dani Walker has been selected to represent San Diego Cities in the Miss California USA pageant by Top 10 Productions Inc., producers of Miss California USA and Miss California Teen USA. The state pageant will take place Dec. 4 to 6 at the Terrace Theater in Long Beach.
Walker is a first generation college graduate as well as the creator and host of the YouTube channel Pageant Access. She won the title of Miss San Diego Cities USA in May and has made numerous appearances across San Diego, some of which include the Coronado July 4th parade, Fox 5 San Diego and volunteering for Sharp Grossmont Hospital. Walker believes pageant participation empowers women, creates career opportunities, and facilitates awareness for her favorite charity, Red Eye Inc.
The pageant will put on three shows (two preliminary competitions and one finals competition) that will be ticketed events open to the public. Long Beach was the location of the first Miss USA and Miss Universe competitions, held concurrently in 1952. Tickets for the pageant shows will be available on ticketmaster.com. Supporters who can not attend the show in person can watch live 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6 at www.PageantVision.com to see who will be crowned. The winner of Miss California USA will go on to compete at the Miss USA competition, which is televised live on Fox. The winner of Miss California Teen USA will go on to compete at Miss Teen USA.
