San Diego Internal Medicine Associates (SDIMA) recently announced the opening of its Liberty Station office. Dedicated to “delivering the highest quality of care to patients,” an impressive team of caregivers includes physicians, nurse practitioners, medical and physician assistants along with a support staff. Touting a 30-year track record through its satellite offices located in Kearny Mesa, SDIMA promises to continue to “work diligently to create highly coordinated, professional patient-centered, medical care.” San Diego Internal Medicine Associates agree that they “work in an orchestrated fashion to deliver excellent care that consistently exceeds expectations.” Primary caregivers include Rolf Ehlers, M.D. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Laura Williams Wayne, M.D., Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Jennifer Obaña, FNP, Board Certified in American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Williams Wayne is noted to have “served the needs of the Point Loma community in providing expertise in Internal Medicine” for the past several years. “We love our medical community and are proud to serve Point Loma with cutting edge medical care, while providing a comfortable medical home for all of our patients,” said Williams Wayne. “As a team, we work to create trusting relationships to promote the health and happiness of our patients. Williams Wayne is the recipient of numerous awards for academic and clinical performance including the Excellence in Research Award (2007); the Queen Emma Clinics Excellence in Ambulatory Medicine Award (2006); and the Honors Award in Internal Medicine.

Ehlers is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Ehlers has served as attending physician in the Emergency Room at UCSD Medical Center, Life Flight and worked with Critical Air during emergency evacuations. Ehlers is one of the founders of San Diego Internal Medicine Associates.
Obaña received her FNP degree from New York’s Columbia University School of Nursing. Nurse Practitioner Obaña is Board certified by the ANCC. Reza Koshini, M.D. and Rebecca Ensley, D.O., SDIMA’s Digestive Disease Consultants, accommodate GI patients every Friday. San Diego Cardiac Center doctors also join the SDIMA team once a week.
