WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? I took this photo of Cotija’s Taco Shop on Aug. 16, 1982 — 30 years ago. The original tenant, in 1952, was Jack-in-the Box — 30 years before that. You can still get a burger on the site, if you make your way to Diego’s hot dogs and sliders in The Promenade. Still lost? It’s the northwest corner of Pacific Beach Drive and Mission Boulevard. Oh, look!! The price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $1.34 at the Apollo Gas station on the right.
