Come meet Amy Reichert, the Reopen San Diego co-founder candidate for San Diego County Board of Supervisors, on Oct 27 at the Ballot Harvest Festival.
A La Mesa resident, Reichert is hosting this free event at Encore Event Center.
People are encouraged to bring their ballots to vote, and stay to enjoy live music, food, drinks, and local vendors. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, and a pumpkin carving contest for the kids.
Reichert is taking the opportunity to invite her incumbent opponent, Nathan Fletcher, to a public debate.
“The facts are the cost of living, crime, and homelessness are all worse under Fletcher’s failed leadership,” Reichert said. “Voters deserve to get the facts by hearing firsthand about each candidate’s views and plans. I welcome the opportunity to discuss my solutions to the key issues San Diegans are facing today.”
Reichert’s campaign said it has requested a debate with Fletcher multiple times, including by certified letter, but all requests have reportedly gone unanswered.
“These matters are too important to allow our elected officials to hide and not answer to the public,” Reichert said. “I’m asking San Diegans to choose me to represent them, and I am willing to stand up next to my opponent and make the case for why they should vote for me.”
The event begins 5:30 p.m at the Encore Event Center, 8253 Ronson Road.
