The Mighty 1090 radio station plans to hold a rally for San Diego sports fans noon to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at Valley View Casino Center. The station will be broadcasting The Darren Smith Show, The Scott and BR Show, and Trending Now with Kevin Acee live outside the arena. The rally will also include guest appearances from former Chargers players, “The San Diego Chargers may be packing up the moving vans and headed for Los Angeles, but we still believe that San Diego is an incredible sports town filled with a great community of sports fans. We want to celebrate them, and do some good for the community in the process,” said Mike Glickenhaus, president and market manager for Broadcast Company of the Americas. Instead of throwing out or burning your Chargers gear, bring it to the rally to be donated to Alpha Project to help out the San Diego homeless population.
