Two San Diego businesses, Pure Bliss Bikinis and STRW Co., will be holding a beach cleanup on Labor Day to raise awareness of the importance of ocean health. The beach cleanup is open to the community and will take place at Mission Beach on Sept. 2 from 9 to 11a.m. The meet-up spot is on the boardwalk at Belmont Park at 8:50 a.m. “Participating in beach cleanups is a great way to meet like minded people, experience the beauty of the beach, and stay mindful of the health of the ocean and ways we can help it,” says Taylor Wilkinson, founder of Pure Bliss Bikinis. “As plastics continue to pollute the ocean each year, beach cleanups provide an excellent opportunity for individuals to help make a difference in their local community.”
Pure Bliss Bikinis hand-makes swimwear in the USA using recycled plastics and is committed to removing one pound of trash from the ocean for every bikini purchased. For more information about joining this beach cleanup and others like it, visit pureblissbikinis.com.
