As the California General Election wraps up, officials are updating the results of the election as new ballots are counted.
Counting ballots can take time, so don’t expect to know the outcome of every race right away. Early ballots as well as mail-in ballots postmarked by yesterday will be counted through Nov. 15.
The preliminary results of San Diego County’s 2022 Election have been updated below. Some races are still too close to call while it will be impossible for some people to make up large leads with the remaining votes to count.
San Diego County Sheriff:
Kelly Anne Martinez – 282,166 – 57.07%
John Hemmerling – 212,286 – 42.93%
Prop 1, enshrines reproductive freedom in Calif. constitution:

NO – 207,380 – 37.96%
Prop 27, Allows online and mobile sports wagering:

YES – 93,018 – 16.05%
Measure A, Cannabis Business Tax in unincorporated parts of the county:

Measure B, Solid Waste Management, which would begin charging city homeowners for trash pickup
