The dirt is flying fast and thick around most of the political candidates. Why do we have to read and be bombarded with such trash?
My vote does not go by Republican, Democrat, et cetera, but to who I think is most qualified; not who can throw the most dirt. For example, I’ll use the Steve Francis campaign. Thousands of dollars spent on belittling Mayor Jerry Sanders.
I haven’t heard Sanders’ answer, or maybe it’s just that he is letting the Republican Party do the job. I have in the mail the party’s rebuttal.
I commend Mayor Sanders for not slandering Mr. Francis (so far). However, he should go public and tell his side of the story, his accomplishments as mayor, so the public gets both sides of the story. No one man can do the job of guiding San Diego in the right direction. However, he must gather around him people who can help accomplish what needs to be done.
I question the individuals who on televis-ion are deriding the mayor. Are they being paid for their backing? I appeal to all candidates to come forth with their accomplishments and stop bashing their opponents.
