
A pack of Point Loma High Pointer athletes were honored for their performances during the fall season of prep sports. Boys water polo
Five members of the CIF champion Pointer boys water polo team were named to the Central League first team. Juniors Brendan McMahon and Adam Watson were joined by freshman sensation Kai Ball.
Two more juniors, Zac James-Fortune and Caleb Woodridge, were named to the second team, meaning the Pointers will return six all-league players next fall. Football
Four seniors were named to the All-Western League offense first team, including lineman Kimo Katashima, running back Jaylen Griffin, quarterback Brenden Torrence and kicking specialist Jaime Medina.
Second-team offense members were senior running back Niko Vega and lineman Cameron Callicutt and junior running back Tshombré Carter and tight end Patrick Rutledge.
A trio of Pointers were recognized for their play on the All-Western League defense first team. Sophomore lineman Mathew Fa’alele, junior lineman Arthur Daniels and senior defensive back Caleb Johnson were honored. Johnson was also named to the second team All-CIF squad.
Second-team defenders were senior linebacker Julius Agho and lineman Avery Pranger. Team banquet awards:

The Pointers had three freshman runners listed on the All-Eastern League first team after tying with Scripps Ranch for the league crown.

Nearly half the All-Eastern League first team wore a Pointer uniform. Seniors Nina Fisher and Emily Schabarum and sophomores Crystal Bozarth, Shelby Smith and Lexie Kobey earned top honors. Girls volleyball
Senior Maddie Yeomans was the only Pointer to make the All-Western League first team, while teammate Yulia Ushakova was named to the second team. Yeoman was also honored on the All-CIF second team.
