The La Jolla Community Planning Association will hold its annual trustee election Thursday, March 5 to fill seven vacant seats. Six trustee seats are for a full three-year term, and one trustee seat is for the remaining two-year balance of a three-year term. Fourteen candidates are vying to fill the vacancies. Voting is among association members only. No electioneering is allowed within 90 feet of the polls, and members must provide photo identification. Voting begins at 3 p.m., and the ballots will be counted and the results announced at 7 p.m. The regular monthly meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the La Jolla Recreation Center, 615 Prospect St. Elected trustees will be seated at the April 2 regular meeting.
