DOWNTOWN — Local fashion designers Jeana Feely of Jeana Marie Fashions and Stacey Blanchet of Blanchet Designs will host the first ever fashion and photography event that will celebrate the beauty of women. The fundraising event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7 p.m. Local photographers, Erin O’Leary and Jennifer Sweigaret, along with other local artists, will show their artistic work. Proceeds from the show will go to the Just Like My Child Foundation, which uses education, healthcare and micro-enterprise to empower women and children in Uganda. The fashion show will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel, 207 Fifth Ave. Tickets are $80 and light fare will be served alongside a no host bar.
