As in years past, the 2006 Peninsula Beacon Photo Contest came down to a battle of the sunsets. Ken Barrett’s photo of the Ocean Beach Pier against a stunning sunset backdrop took in the most of 360 votes cast this year.
Bruce Walker’s shot of the swells along Sunset Cliffs came in at second place and Lilian Gaines’ captured sunset off Cape May Avenue was a close third.
Barlett will receive a $250 gift certificate to Photos Into Video, Walker wins a $100 certificate to Nick’s at the Beach and Gaines receives a $50 gift certificate for Dick’s Last Resort.
