Point Loma resident Jasmine Glasheen is performing in a stand-up comedy showcase on Thursday, Feb. 27, at The Comedy Palace, at 8878 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. “Comedy Palace is my home base comedy club,” said Glasheen. “I love sharing the stage with some of my favorite comics in the industry, and the hummus plate is addictive.”
Glasheen works as a full-time writer and content strategist in the retail industry and started doing comedy in 2019. Born in Neehah, Wisc., she’s been living in San Diego for two years with her dog, Jupiter, and her rescue cat, Isabella. Her philosophy in life is: “Shoot for the moon, hit the roof.” Glasheen is working on a comedic memoir and says that performing stand-up keeps her writing fresh. “It fits well into my life because I love being around funny people, but I don’t have the emotional bandwidth to form actual friendships.”
She’s looking forward to sharing her quirky view of life at the showcase. You can follow her on Facebook to keep up on her comedy schedule. Tickets are available at thecomedypalace.com and may also be bought at the door.
