Spring 2014 figures to be a busy time for many Pacific Beach businesses as some longtime businesses have already closed, some have moved and others are in the process of moving.
The CVS at 1652 Garnet Ave. will be moving into the CVS store just across the street at Pacific Plaza this month to consolidate both stores at one location, while its next door neighbor Staples (1650 Garnet Ave.) expects to move into the 1652 location by May.
Trader Joe’s (1211 Garnet Ave.) is rumored to be the next tenant at 1650 Garnet Ave., but according to its manager, the move is not definite and would not happen until next year at the earliest.
Empire Beauty Salon (1660 Garnet Ave.), just three doors east of Staples, is also on the move in the near future to its new location just across the street at 1637 Garnet.
