PACIFIC BEACH — The Pacific Beach Town Council (PBTC) announced at its general membership meeting Sept. 15 that it will hold elections for board positions in November. The positions available will be president, vice president, secretary and treasurer, said Ruby Houck, current vice president. There will also be several board seats available. “We have a nomination committee that has been formed to fill the spots on the board,” Houck said. If the board receives more nominations than seats, an election will be held. The deadline for nominations will be Nov. 17. Those interested in running for president or vice president must have served on the board for one year and have been a PBTC member for a minimum of two years. To be nominated for secretary, treasurer or a board seat, one must be a general member in good standing for 90 days. To enter the race, call the PBTC office, (858) 483-6666. All nominees must prepare a biography and turn it into the office at 1706 Garnet Ave.
