
Tiffany Piquilloud, a board certified specialist in neurologic physical therapy, serves as the executive director and senior physical therapist at Challenge Center, a nonprofit organization that provides exceptional neuro-rehabilitation to seniors and people with disabilities on a sliding scale after their insurance coverage has ended; and continues with specialized assisted fitness services that maintain health and function to keep people in their own homes.
Piquilloud received the Most Influential Clinical Instructor Award by the students in the San Diego State University’s doctor of physical therapy program. The award was given to her recently by Kelly Prescher, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, San Diego State University. Piquilloud’s knowledge base and experience makes her a sought-after speaker at a wide variety of seminars as well as a guest lecturer in doctor of physical therapy programs, occupational programs, and the American Physical Therapy Association. Piquilloud has undergone extensive training in the treatment of neurological disorders, including certification in neuro-developmental treatment. She has pioneered innovative approaches to restoring balance and agility in seniors and people with disabilities. She has expanded her expertise to the long-term treatment of acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
Piquilloud and her husband, Blaise, have two daughters, 8 and 10, and live in Pacific Beach. She is a Gaelic football player for the San Diego women’s team NA FINNA, and has been a starting player on two national championship teams and has been awarded MVP at the national tournament. Piquilloud also plays the drums and won two state championships; and played on the Lacrosse LA team that won the western division. Her family members are also avid soccer players, outstanding gymnasts, surfers, swimmers, and amazing musicians. Blaise was raised on a vineyard in Switzerland, surfs, lobster-dives, fishes, and hunts, and has won many marksmanship awards in his native Switzerland.
