Paddles are hitting the water to benefit the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl when the Maui Jim Outrigger Challenge and Luau returns to Bahia Point on Saturday, April 26.
The outrigger teams are made up of five paddlers. At least two members must be women. The course is 200 meters and the race format is double elimination.
Race registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by race instruction at 9 a.m. Competition begins at 10 a.m.
The entry fee is $200 per team, and an outrigger canoe and steerperson is provided for the race. A luau follows the competition.
