Centurion Kevin Santos knocks in a pair of runs to pad University City’s lead over Ramona during the May 31 CIF Division III semifinal at UCHS.
The Centurions won, 10-1, to set up their first-ever trip to the CIF finals.
UC was set to play St. Augustine June 6, as the Village News went to press, at SDSU’s coliseum (Tony Gwynn Stadium).
The Centurions were beaten by Ramona May 29, 4-5, but stayed alive in the double-elimination format.
