Chiropractor holds community event Dr. Robert Walcher of Personalized Chiropractic will hold a community appreciation event on May 6 and 7 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at his office at 4747 Mission Blvd. #1. Walcher has reserved time slots over the two-day period for 25 individuals to receive free chiropractic exams and consultations, computerized health scans and X-rays (if needed), plus refreshments and wellness information. Walcher recently added a groundbreaking scanning system, the Insight Discovery Subluxation Station, to his repertoire of diagnostic services, which measures patients’ neurospinal health and provides information on factors such as sensory nerve irritation, range of motion and nerve function. To register for the event, contact Dr. Walcher’s office at (858) 866-3345. SD Laptops celebrates one year in PB location SD Laptops is celebrating one year in its current location at 4645 Cass St. this month. The company offers software and hardware repairs, virus removals, screen replacements, software upgrades and data recovery services for laptops and desktops. Owner Cameron Scholes started the business five years ago from his home, providing mobile computer repair services and technical house calls to customers throughout San Diego. As business grew, Scholes realized he needed one storefront where customers could bring their computers directly to him in order to improve his efficiency. Scholes has 10 years of experience building and repairing computers and troubleshooting potential problems. He said he can typically provide a 24-hour turnaround for his services if he doesn’t have to order parts. “I handle both customer service and technical support, so I can get a sense of the problem quickly, and with my experience I can troubleshoot it a lot faster,” Scholes said. Finest City Registration opens second location Finest City Registration has opened a second location in Ocean Beach at 4837 Newport Ave. Its first site at 5010 Cass St., Suite G, in Pacific Beach has been open for more than three years. The company, run by Shaundra and Rory Flanigan, eliminates the long lines and hassle often associated with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) by working directly with the organization on behalf of customers, Shaundra said. She is licensed and bonded through the DMV to conduct almost any service that would usually have to be handled in person at the DMV, including license renewals, registrations, substitute plate requests and out-of-state title transfers. Finest City is authorized to do DMV business even when the DMV offices are closed. More information is available at finestcityreg.com.
