New SubMe app helps get players in the game

“SubMe is like a sports version of Tinder, because all the app users have to do is to swipe right to participate in sports related games or fitness activities,” said Eric M. Geller, who is the co-founder and chief sales and marketing officer of the new app. SubMe is a free mobile app that helps individuals looking to join a team or single game as a sub and teams to find more players. You post on the app that you want to find someone to play with and then interested app users can view these postings and join the game all for free. “The app makes it possible for everybody to meet new people and join a game. There are a lot of people out there who would love to play sports and to stay active but can’t sign up for a whole season because they don’t have time or can’t afford it. Now with our app they can play the sports that they want and it is convenient for them,” said Geller. Because the SubMe app is a free app it allows everybody to join a game or a fitness activity and therefore encourage health and wellness in the community. The app allows you to find others in your community to play with wherever and whenever you want.
The SubMe app has close to 10,000 users in more than 70 cities across the United States and the app also has international users. The cities that have the most users in the United States are San Diego and Chicago.
“I think the app has become popular in San Diego and Chicago because both cities are into sports, and I think it is a part of San Diegan’s culture to stay active and healthy and to meet new people,” said Geller
Geller and the three other founders, Garrett Dallas, Aaron Kahn, and Nick Barfell, created the app about a year ago because they had trouble themselves finding people to play games with, and especially at the last minute. “We did always spent a lot of time finding players and it was always very stressful, so we thought to ourselves that there had to be a better way and that was how SubMe was created,” said Geller. The app makes looking for players quick and easy without all the texts, phone calls and emails. Everything is in one place reducing the painful time spent on finding players so you can focus on meeting people and having fun playing the sports you enjoy. “Reducing the stress about finding players makes it a much better gaming experience for everybody involved,” said Geller.
