Participants in the Oct. 16 “Taste of La Jolla” get ready for portabello mushroom soup and french fries at My Place, 7777 Girard Ave., one of 25 restaurants offering samples. The seventh annual restaurant walk raised funds to benefit the Foundation of La Jolla High School, which makes up some of the shortfalls in the school’s budget due to district cutbacks.
