Head down to where the surf meets the sand at San Fernando Court on Saturday, May 17 as the Old Mission Beach Athletic Club (OMBAC) hosts its annual Longboard Surf Contest. The surf event includes open and menehune (16 and under) divisions for classic longboards and no leashes. Signups take place from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at San Fernando Court, south of the Belmont Park coaster parking area. The proceeds from the event benefit the San Diego Junior Lifeguards Foundation.
