For fans of 1970s and early 1980s punk and rock, it’s possible there won’t be a better show this year than the set by the International Swingers at Brick by Brick on June 28. A super group that includes Glen Matlock (The Sex Pistols), Clem Burke (Blondie), James Stevenson (Generation X) and Gary Twinn (Supernaut), the band is giving audiences what they want — a set list consisting solely of the various band members’ best-known songs and a few choice covers. With a set list that includes classics like “Pretty Vacant,” “Dancing With Myself” and “Hanging On the Telephone,” as well as evergreens like 1972’s “Stay With Me,” (included via Matlock’s stint in the Faces), this show promises to be many a die-hard rock ’n’ roll fan’s dream come true.
