Comedy has returned to Pacific Beach! Wednesdays at Reds Saloon are now dedicated to laughs and fun, with touring comedians topping off each night. On Aug. 27, the club will feature a set from Nebraska native Tobe Hixx. Seen on such TV programs as “The Tonight Show,” BET’s “Comic View” and Laff Mobb’s “We Got Next,” Hixx is also a veteran of several entertainment tours of the Middle East, where he performed for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Be forewarned: the language can be strong, but so is the humor. Hixx’s observational comedy, covering everything from the NBA to California’s diverse population, is a great way to cure the midweek blues.
