It’s been 30 years since UFO’s heyday, but its brand of rock ’n’ roll still hits hard. The British rockers have released more than 22 discs in a career that began around 1969 with classic hits like “Too Hot To Handle” and “Only You Can Rock Me.” Surprisingly, for a group with such longevity, the band still includes its two key original members with a third member who joined during the band’s peak in 1976. UFO has played all of San Diego’s biggest venues, including Jack Murphy Stadium (now Qualcomm Stadium), making this relatively intimate gig at Brick by Brick on Sept. 30 a “must hear” for all hard-rock fans.
