MUST HEAR
If you’re a fan of the piano or classical music, you won’t want to miss Chinese pianist Haochen Zhang, appearing Dec. 7, 8 p.m., at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego, La Jolla. A child prodigy, Zhang made his first public appearance in 1996 at the age of five performing a program of Bach, Haydn and Mozart, going on to win numerous competitions and score international acclaim for his fluid, virtuoso performances. The winner of the 2009 Van Cliburn Award, Zhang is without a doubt one of the finest pianists on the planet today. Music aficionados won’t want to miss this special performance in the acoustically wonderful Sherwood Hall.
