A male driving a black 2016 Harley Davidson MC (P-1) was in EB No. 1 lane of 2100 Grand Ave. The driver was speeding, without his headlights about 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 20. He failed to stop at the red traffic signal at the intersection with Olney Street. A 61 year old female in a green 2008 Nissan Altima sedan (P-2) was making a left turn from northbound Olney to westbound Grand Avenue. P-1 broadsided P-2 in the intersection. P-1 sustained a fractured pelvis and was transported to an area hospital by paramedics. P-2 was uninjured. Traffic Division officers responded to conduct the investigation. It was determined P-1 was DUI. P-1 who will be charged with DUI, was identified as Peter Humphrey, a 27-year-old resident of San Diego.
