On May 24 at 3200 Mariners Way in Mission Beach a 26-year-old male was stabbed once in the neck and three times in the back by a 25-year-old male acquaintance during an altercation in Mission Beach that took place at a beach fire. Following the stabbing the suspects’ and victim’s female companions also fought. A 19-year-old female suffered a broken arm after being thrown on the ground by a 25-year-old female. The suspect of the stabbing is known and is currently at large. The stab wounds suffered are not considered to be life threatening and Northern Division is investigating.
