The Notre Dame Folk Choir from the University of Notre Dame, under the direction of Dr. Steve Warner, will present a concert of contemporary Christian music incorporating a unique blend of Celtic and other cultural influences.  This concert is free to the public and will be the group’s only performance in the San Diego metro area. The concert takes place Thursday, June 2 at 7 p.m. at St. Brigid Church, 4735 Cass St. For more information, call (858) 274-1193, or email [email protected]. One of San Diego’s premiere sailing events will showcase the city to international competitors in the Etchells World Championship off the Coronado Roads from June 2 through June 11. The event, which casts off from the San Diego Yacht Club in Point Loma, will pitch Etchells crews hailing from the U.S., Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, France, Canada, Italy, Greece, Bermuda and the United Arab Emirates. The Community Congregational Church of Pacific Beach will host a yard sale on Saturday, June 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 2088 Beryl St. For more information, call (858) 274-6600. The San Diego Rowing Club will host its third annual Learn to Row Day on Saturday, June 4 at the club’s location on Mission Bay. The free event runs from 8 a.m. to noon at 1220 El Carmel Place. Christopher Estrella of CStarproductionz is hosting free dance classes at Mission Bay and in Point Loma in advance of a “Thriller” dance event June 25 at the San Diego County Fair. Estrella is hosting all former “zombies” and “wannabe zombies,” which includes participants from the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, the Marine Corps and sheriff’s and police associations. The classes are open to the public and located throughout the city. Classes are held at Sundays from 1 to 2 p.m. behind the Hilton Hotel, 1775 E. Mission Bay Drive.
