La Mesa Cub Scout Pack 319 would like to invite folks to participate in a COVID-safe donation drive in late March.
Scouting for Food is a council-wide service project to care for people in our local communities who are hungry and in need; all donated food items will be delivered to a local food bank.
Simply fill a box or bag with some of the following suggested non-perishable items: canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats, canned fruits, canned beans, peanut butter, cereal, oatmeal, crackers, pasta, dried fruit, nuts and rice. Avoid perishable items, frozen foods, items in glass containers and home canned foods.
This is a contact-free drop-off. Just pull in, pop your trunk, and the scouts will collect your donations. All participants will wear masks.
The event is Saturday, March 26, 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 pm.
The drive-through drop off location is at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church (4816 Glen St., La Mesa).
