A number of college students with ties to the local area are being honored for their academic efforts in and out of the classroom.
Among them:
* Taylor Currier of San Diego, a Trine University (Indiana) student, was named to the President’s List for the spring 2023 term. Currier is majoring in Exercise Science.
To earn President’s List honors, Trine students must complete a minimum of 12 hours and have a GPA of 3.75-4.0.
* Jonathan Geraci of La Mesa, a student at Missouri State University, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Geraci is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.
* Ryan Floyd of La Mesa was named to Southern New Hampshire University’s winter 2023 Dean’s List. The winter term runs from January to May.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List.
* Claire Stephens of La Mesa qualified for Belmont University’s (Tennessee) spring 2023 Dean’s List. Approximately 49% of Belmont’s 6,552 undergraduate students were named.
Dean’s List eligibility is based on a minimum course load of 12 hours and a quality GPA of 3.5 with no grade below a C.
* Azizat Sanni of San Diego, a student at San Jose State University, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
Sanni is among approximately 25,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year.
