As we continue to keep everyone’s safety in mind, Little Italy is doing everything possible to keep the spirit of the holidays alive! While families are still able to drop-off their letters to Santa at the Big Red Mailbox in Piazza della Famiglia and participate in the annual Little Italy Toy Drive, there are also celebrations to be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home.
First off, our favorite jolly man has gone virtual. You can now email your letters and drawings to Santa directly to [email protected]. If you would still like to drop-off your letter in person, just make sure it is dropped off by December 13th. Your letter will need to be postmarked by the December 14th so that Santa has enough time to respond. When addressing your envelope, make sure to use Santa’s address: 123 Elf Road North Pole, 88888 and include a first-class stamp.
Making his Little Italy debut is our newest resident: Giuseppe the Elf. Follow along on social media as Giuseppe eats and drinks his way through our neighborhood while getting into some shenanigans along the way. He only signed the lease on his Little Italy condo for the month of December, so he has 25 days to really live it up! Think you know where he is headed next? Send us your guesses on Instagram @littleitalysd #GiuseppeTheElf #LittleItalySD.
Last, but certainly not least, are the appropriately titled virtual cocktail/mocktail classes—JOY! Some of Little Italy’s mixologists are helping you get in the holiday “sprit” during a series of weekly virtual cocktail/mocktail classes every Thursday in December hosted on the Little Italy Instagram and Facebook page. Every Tuesday, the recipe for that week’s class will be posted across all of Little Italy’s social media channels so you can shop and prepare ahead of time. Learn how to make the perfect seasonal sips from mixologists at Civico 1845, Cloak & Petal, Juniper & Ivy and Little Italy Food Hall. There has never been a more perfect time to shake up something festive just in time for your virtual holiday party!
As Little Italy continues to keep the safety and wellbeing of residents, business owners and visitors at the forefront, the Little Italy Association is constantly looking for new ways to engage the community and keep the spirit of the holidays strong. It’s important for us to continue to support our community and small business owners now more than ever. Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo!
