LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS AWARDS DINNER

United Cerebral Palsy of San Diego County is proud to honor Shelley Zimmerman, San Diego Police Department Chief of Police (Retired) and Supervisor Kristin Gaspar, Third District, San Diego County Board of Supervisors.

This annual “Life Without Limits” event honors individuals in San Diego who embody leadership and community service. A fast-paced program will include short testimonials to the honorees from those in the San Diego business and philanthropic community. As part of the program, miscellaneous art, sports, travel and collectors items will be auctioned.

The emcee for the event is KUSI-TV News Anchor Lauren Phinney.

Join us for this special night as we honor Shelley Zimmerman and Kristin Gaspar for their professional success and the work that they have done to make our community a better place and improve the lives of our friends, neighbors, and their families across San Diego County.

Cocktails are at 6 p.m. and the dinner and program starts at 7 p.m. Visit ucpsd.org for more information.

Don’t forget your reusable cup or bottle to stay hydrated (single-bottles are highly discouraged).

Event is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Veterans Park at the corner of Abbott and Newport. Any question call Robert Cenko (619) 318-9762.

AMERICAN LIVER FOUNDATION’S 21ST ANNUAL LIVER LIFE WALK

Join the American Liver Foundation for its 21st annual Liver Life Walk on Saturday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m. at NTC Park in Liberty Station, 2455 Cushing Road. There will be fun for everyone including the pre-party with activities for children and adults, entertainment, awards and refreshments.

Nearly 500 walkers will participate in San Diego to bring awareness to liver disease and provide financial support for ALF’s educational programs and patient services offered to the millions of Americans battling one of the 100 known liver diseases.

Registration can be done ahead of time online or onsite the morning of the event. Registration is $20 per adult and free for children 17 and under. Check-in is from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. While there is no required fundraising minimum, participants are encouraged to raise at least $100 in support of the ALF’s mission. Anyone can form a team and help fundraise by signing up at liverlifewalk.org/sandiego.
